Food Truck Operating Winter

AUBURN — Fork & Fiddle, a locally owned food truck, will operate a “winter kitchen” inside Auburn Brewing Company through the last weekend in March, the two businesses announced.

Fork & Fiddle will serve diners Thursday through Sunday each weekend in the brew pub at 309 N. Main St.

Auburn Brewing Co. opened in November, serving craft beer made on-site in small batches. Fork & Fiddle launched in the spring of 2016 as a gourmet food truck and catering service with Low Country influences inspired by chef Ryan Smith’s childhood visits to South Carolina.

“I was very excited for the opportunity to test our concept in a brick-and-mortar setting right here in our hometown,” Smith said. “We get to try out new menu items, new pairings and visit with our customers — our Fiddlers — in a fun, relaxed setting. ”

Auburn Brewing Co. owners Josh and Emma Metcalf said they are grateful to have “amazing, crafty, delicious food to complement the beer and atmosphere we have created.”

Emma Metcalf added, “We wanted people to feel like they could come by themselves, with friends or family and just relax, play games, enjoy friendly conversations or watch the game. Being able to add food to that mix just completes the whole vibe.”
