Auburn City Steakhouse Launches Home Delivery Service
Auburn City Eats has launched, allowing the popular steakhouse in downtown Auburn to continue staying open amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
AUBURN, Indiana, April 27, 2020 — Bob Lebamoff, Auburn City Steakhouse owner, is adapting his business to include a home delivery service, Auburn City Eats. After receiving the PPP loan this past week, he has rehired all available staff to work as many hours as possible, many are working full time. Demand has been higher than expected and has allowed Lebamoff to reach out and hire new staff. With a renewed staff, pivoted game plan, and rejuvenated energy, Lebamoff hopes to at least continue to “keep the lights on.”
Lebamoff is grateful for receiving the loan. Bringing the team back to work has been his goal since the mandated shut down took place.
This week marks the sixth week of Auburn City Steakhouse staying open since the government mandated bar and restaurant shutdown. The restaurant has offered a limited menu and limited hours, with friends and family dutifully volunteering their time to keep the establishment running. Lebamoff states “each week brought new challenges and our team strategized what made sense to keep our doors open.”
On Easter Sunday, Auburn City Steakhouse saw a new high, selling just over 600 carryout meals. So many of the guests (returning and new) inquired about a delivery service. This sparked the idea to Bob and his team to develop a delivery service, which launched this past Tuesday night.
Auburn City Eats is seeing tremendous success, and is certainly geared to accommodate steakhouse-goers while giving them our Prime Dining Experience. Delivery drivers are the local, in house servers that were recently hired back. Lebamoff felt it made sense for the guests to recognize a local face they remember from dining inside.
Fervent in serving guests and maintaining the Auburn City Steakhouse candor despite the Coronavirus pandemic, the steakhouse has majorly shifted its focus from dining in orders to now carryout and the newly implemented home delivery service. Lebamoff shares “we are paying attention daily to the reports and plan our strategies accordingly”
A re-opening plan as well as a full Mother’s Day plan is in place with multiple contingencies. Lebamoff states, “My goal now is to ensure how best I can serve the community with the full team back!!"
Home delivery orders can be placed by calling the restaurant at 260-333-7337.
