AUBURN — The new Auburn Brewing Company will open Nov. 17 with events on tap from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., founders, Josh and Emma Metcalf said Wednesday,
The day will start with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. hosted by the DeKalb Chamber Partnership.
The business will participate in the Auburn Classic Noon Lions Club Christmas Stroll from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
A locally owned food truck, Head2Hock, will serve a full menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 5-8 p.m. and will have snacks available on site
Award-winning singer/songwriter Jordan Allen & The Bellwethers will perform live music from at 7- 11 p.m.
Housed in an early 1900’s service station at 309 N Main St., Auburn Brewing Company will develop into a local brewpub designed to bring the community together by providing a comfortable environment, offering traditional and modern beer styles, while sharing knowledge of beer design, the owners said in a news release.
With a motto of “Drink local, learn, interact and give back,” the Metcalfs said Auburn Brewing Company will strive to be a positive member of the Auburn and surrounding communities with its Beer4Good program.
Through the Beer4Good program, with every purchase of a pint, growler or flight, guests will be able to choose from three local organizations for a 25-cent donation.
“We feel as though it is imperative to give back to the community that has helped us start our dream businesses,” the Metcalfs said. “We hope by giving the guests the ability to choose where their donation goes, they will learn more about each of the organizations and spark even more giving.”
The couple added, “Auburn Brewing Company has loved being a part of Downtown Auburn and we are excited to include the community in the development and future of our business.”
