AUBURN — Nail artist Kami Warner opened Aqua Luna Nail Spa at 115 W. 9th St. in Auburn on Oct. 3.
A 2003 DeKalb High School graduate, she earned her nail technician certification in California in 2013. She returned to Indiana, became licensed and worked a couple years prior to taking some time off before deciding to open her own business.
She and her husband have been busy renovating the shop with new flooring, paint and trim.
Business has been brisk since the opening, with appointments booking up quickly, she said. Hours vary, with appointments offered seven days a week. Walk-ins sometimes are accommodated,
Costs begin around $10 for basic service, ranging to $100 with many add-ons and extras. Manicure services offered include simple manicure, acrylic and popular gel enhancements. Spa pedicures, detox (charcoal) pedicures and paraffin dip, Himalayan hot stones, and nail art also are offered.
Warner said her favorite part of the job is making her patrons feel pampered in a one-to-one environment with no chaos.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for Monday at 10 a.m.
People can make appointments by phone at 908-3090, email firstname.lastname@example.org or message on FB at Aqua Luna Nail Spa.
An open house is planned Sunday, Dec. 2, from 1-4 p.m. with drawings, refreshments, gifts and more.
